Deception
The subject of my photos is graffiti and I took the pictures in an abandoned castle in Newport. I selected this abandoned castle because I really enjoy graffiti and this castle has a couple cool examples of it. Not many people know about this place so you don't see these examples often. This place really intrigues me because the subject matter is all jumbled and random. I really appreciate graffiti and this is a good place for it. The concept i'm trying to convey is that beauty can be found in destruction. There's so many rundown places with different examples of amazing graffiti that no one takes the time to see. The story of my essay is deception. Someone starts off seeming perfect, everything is going the way you want- its peaceful and loving. Then you find the truth- theres an evilness and by the end your head is spinning and you must question whether your still "sane". That's why i arranged the first five photos with the more positive messaged graffiti and the last five photos have the evil looking skull and the danger signs, the "uncovering" of the deception. I chose to keep my photos in color because it adds to the composition of the photos.
